Job Description

The Junior Finance Analyst supports the accounting and finance functions by performing core accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with monthly close and reporting activities. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting foundation who is looking to grow their career in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting and finance operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
  • Review, track, and reconcile invoices, expenses, and transactions
  • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Assist with financial statements, schedules, and internal reports
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal financial policies and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial requests and audits
  • Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related internship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reconciliations, basic formulas)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a structured accounting environment
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and general ledger systems
  • Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems
  • Interest in pursuing CPA, CMA, or other accounting/finance certifications
