This position supports the design and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions through the creation of data ware houses, data marts, data stores and report writing. This will give the intern gainful experience and knowledge in the Programmer-SQL/Business Intelligence field.

Essential Intern functions:

Work with Programmer Analyst on various projects including but not limited to:

Providing solutions to client defined data and reporting needs.

Analyzing manual processes and designing programs to automate those processes.

Designing and implementing organizational and departmental dashboards.

Contributing to the development of estimates, project plans, and milestones.

Collaboration with others to test and resolve issues with deliverables.

Essential Intern Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements):

  • Completed course work in IT or Informatics field with an emphasis in programming
  • Student should be a junior or senior level student at an accredited college.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to create graphs, pivot tables, forms and databases and summarize results.
  • Effective, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and responsibility, perform multiple tasks, attend to detail, meet deadlines, adapt quickly to changes, and respond well to feedback.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time)
    • Able to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 10 pounds occasionally
    • Able to sit for the majority of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing.
    • Able to use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time)
