Position Overview

West Bridgeway Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team as a full-time member working remotely from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health needs, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and other assessment tools to create personalized treatment plans that respect cultural diversity and specific patient needs.
  • Monitoring patient progress, employing evidence-based interventions, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the highest levels of care and effective symptom management.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of treatment records, reports, and clinical information aligned with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboratively developing comprehensive treatment plans in partnership with patients and their families, emphasizing achievable outcomes and a shared understanding of the care process.
  • Coordinating referrals and establishing a strong connection between patients and other treatment providers to ensure seamless continuity of care and support.
  • Providing mentorship, education, and guidance to students and interns, contributing to the growth of future social work professionals.
  • Participating in peer reviews and collaborative clinical discussions with the clinical supervisor to foster an environment of continuous learning and quality improvement.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will primarily work with individuals and families affected by cancer, a patient population facing unique psychological challenges. This includes addressing issues of grief, anxiety, depression, and emotional trauma associated with serious illness. Your expertise will help patients navigate their circumstances with dignity and support, reinforcing their mental health while undergoing treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing empathetic and culturally competent care.
Preferred Experience
