Opportunities could include
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support capital expenditure reviews and fixed asset management activities, including asset tagging and tracking.
  • Assist with statutory audit requests by gathering supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Provide financial systems administration support for tools such as SAP, BlackLine, and other accounting applications.
  • Participate in aircraft contract reviews and revenue recognition analysis in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support site accounting activities, including reporting, analysis, and process improvements.
  • Assist with warranty accounting and related reporting requirements.
  • Support SOX compliance testing and internal control documentation.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reporting tools, and automation solutions.
  • Assist the Travel team with reporting, data analysis, and process automation initiatives to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and visibility into travel-related expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements through financial, operational, and control automation.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and management reporting as needed.

Requirements
  • Currently pursuing an accounting degree (finance degree will be considered) or currently pursuing a master's degree in a related field
  • Completion of entry level accounting courses preferred (i.e. Principles of Financial Accounting and Introduction to Managerial Accounting)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated with a results driven approach
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, maintained throughout the internship.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Data Validation, PowerQuery) and other Microsoft Office Suite tools is preferred.
  • Working Knowledge of SAP (A Plus)
  • Working knowledge about proper data management and Power BI dashboarding
