NBI Heart Transplant Cardiothoracic Surgeon

RWJBarnabas Health's Northern Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is looking for their next Heart Transplant & Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. RWJBarnabas Health, the largest health care provider in NJ, is seeking a highly skilled Heart Transplant & Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the Heart Failure and Transplant Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC). This surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care across the full spectrum of adult cardiothoracic surgery while serving as a key operative leader in heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support (MCS).

The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in cardiothoracic surgery with specific expertise in heart transplantation, ventricular assist devices (VAD), and complex cardiac surgery. Clinically, this surgeon will perform heart transplantations, participate in donor procurement, and manage temporary and durable MCS (LVAD/RVAD/ECMO), while supporting system growth by extending advanced cardiac surgical services across RWJBH Northern affiliates.

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $550,000 - $700,000. This role is also eligible for additional compensation through performance and productivity-based incentives. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
