Internship Bench Scientists are students or recent graduates who work in laboratory settings as part of their training and career development. They perform hands-on experiments, assist with research projects, and learn essential laboratory techniques under the supervision of experienced scientists. These internships provide practical experience in fields such as biology, chemistry, or biomedical research and help interns gain valuable skills for future scientific careers. The role often includes tasks like preparing samples, recording data, and maintaining lab equipment.

What does an internship bench scientist do?

As an Internship Bench Scientist, you will typically be involved in hands-on laboratory work such as preparing samples, running experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining lab equipment. You may also assist senior scientists with ongoing research projects, contribute to lab meetings, and help document results in lab notebooks or reports. The role is highly collaborative, often requiring communication with other interns, research associates, and principal investigators.
