We look for candidates who are eager to make an impact to our clients by doing real, hands-on work. Successful Jefferies Interns are able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and relationship management skills together with strong technical, written and verbal communication skills. The work is fast paced, challenging and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate. Candidates should have a strong academic background and be pursuing a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent program.

Desired Background and Skills

  • Undergraduate candidate pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Expected graduation between December 2027 - June 2028 and December 2028 - June 2029
  • Proficient understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, Instagram and X
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Design, HTML, data and analytics, storytelling and copywriting skills preferred
  • Experience with Canva preferred
  • Broad understanding of financial markets
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, data or creative design. A major in these tracks are preferred.

Work with Us - Opportunities in Marketing

The Jefferies Marketing & Communications Team manages all of the Firm's marketing and communications initiatives, including but not limited to public relations, branding, thought leadership, advertising, digital, email, creative and internal communications. Summer interns will work across all disciplines to support strategic goals in service of elevating Jefferies' brand.

The Jefferies Marketing Summer Intern will support the department's strategic marketing and communications team across a variety of efforts, including but not limited to support of:

  • Brand and marketing strategy
  • Execution of integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging events, digital strategies, social media, advertising, video, email and more
  • Analyze campaign and channel performance
  • Production of content and video development (social media, articles, storyboards, etc.)
  • Conferences and events strategy / execution
  • Public relations efforts (press releases, meeting coordination, etc.)
  • Operations and project management across all marketing disciplines
