Job description

Mission Statement

Job Summary
The person in this role will work with the Community Outreach Engagement and Reporting team that includes the Program for Multicultural Health, Community Health Planning & Investment, and the Anchor Strategies. They will assist the CARES program, supervise interns program evaluation and data analysis, support community health alignment across the region (UMH Sparrow & West), community outreach & engagement at community events, represent CHS at community events, boards, and forums as assigned.
Responsibilities*
  • Provide support for the CARES program recruiting and engaging guest speakers
  • Supervising interns, including program evaluations and data analysis
  • Supporting community health alignment across the region (UMH-West, UMH-Sparrow & Academic Health Center)
  • Community outreach and engagement at community events, boards and forums as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*
  • Master's level education in public health, public administration, health administration, or similar field of learning
  • Demonstrated experience with program development, evaluation and data analysis and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse team, building relationships internally and externally
  • Experience mentoring, guiding and developing student learning
  • Demonstrated ability to process, manage and influence system change

Desired Qualifications*
5 or more years' experience in a similar role

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
