To thrive as an Internship Audio Visual Technician, you need a foundational understanding of audio and video equipment, basic troubleshooting skills, and usually a high school diploma or enrollment in a related program. As an Internship Audio Visual Technician, you’ll assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio and visual equipment for meetings, events, or classrooms. Typical tasks include running cables, testing microphones, setting up projectors or displays, and providing on-the-spot technical support. You may also help with routine maintenance and inventory of equipment, and occasionally shadow or support senior AV staff on larger projects.
