Job description

Job Summary Client is currently seeking candidates for a full-time position as a Data Scientist. This position will provide support at a client facility in the Chantilly, VA area. Responsibilities Collecting, organizing, and analyzing technical information from multiple sources to drive client missions and quick-turn tasks in fast-paced environments.
Aid in the design and implementation of machine learning and data engineering techniques for application to advanced client missions in science and technology (S&T) fields.
Technical proficiency in applying data collection and analysis tools to S&T mission areas, specifically to improve existing techniques and devise new techniques to solve mission-critical data science challenges.
Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment while working independently and leading tasks on time and on budget.
Independently propose, develop, and execute creative solutions to unique data science problems, including Suggestions for new data sources and data exploitation techniques
Providing thorough and completed products that require minor revisions and/or editing.
Proactively managing expectations and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving, agile environment.
Maintaining excellent communication and interaction with both co-located and geographically diverse team members Key Qualifications Experience using tools for collecting, assembling, interpreting, translating, and analyzing multi-source data, such as S&T information, network, open source, and databases, and synthesizing knowledge into actionable intelligence.
Experience applying machine learning, statistics, and/or data mining techniques to gain insights from data.
Experience with automation of data pipelining processes, data transformation, databases, and/or repositories.
Experience with assessing and technical reporting on technologies and scientific topics, i.e. technology readiness levels (TRL) and critical technology elements (CTE).
Experience with diverse media and advanced S&T data.
BS and (8+) years of relevant experience; MS and (5+) years of relevant experience; PhD in relevant field and (3+) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience in a relevant field.
Excitement about learning new technical subject areas and curiosity about S&T missions.
Experience in national security, defense, and/or intelligence communities.
Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
