Job description

Assistant Athletic Director

District-wide  

2026-2027

The Eastchester School District is seeking to fill the vacancy of Assistant Athletic Director for Summer/Fall 2026. The assignment will provide support to the Athletic Director for the Fall sports season and in the preceding summer. Appointment will be made by season. The dates of each season will align with the dates set forth by Section 1 BOCES.

Responsibilities:

  • Appointment by season, beginning on or about August 15 through June 30:
    • Summer/Fall: 350-400 hrs
    • Winter: 350 hrs
    • Spring: 350 hrs
  • Assignment of chaperones for sporting events
  • Observation/mentoring of assigned coaches (mainly modified coaches)
  • Assists in the supervision & oversight of Athletics program
  • Oversight & Support off-campus Programs (tennis, swimming, ice hockey)
  • Social Media and Website management
  • Special Events: (homecoming, pep rallies, signing ceremonies, end of season awards)
  • Equipment Management
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, PE & Health

Requirements:

  • NYS Teaching Certification, NYS Coaching Certification and NYS Administrative Certification preferred and/or in-progress
  • NYSED Fingerprint Clearance*

Employment Terms:

  • Appointment by season
  • Stipend: $7,250 per season
