We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team.


The Bruker Rave Mask Repair (RMR) Semiconductor Business Unit Applications Engineer supports all mask repair product platforms and associated with all departments within RMR Business Unit. The Applications Engineer role will be to demonstrate tool capabilities in AFM and Laser repair platforms as well as Cryogenic cleaning of photomasks and wafers and to be able to support customer development requests while working efficiently on tool improvements in support of the Photomask industry.

The Applications Engineer role also involves extensive coordination of quality activities in all departments associated with product design, build, and testing. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for communication with pre-existing and new customers to understands technical needs and to communicate these to other departments I support of product improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Provide technical support or marketing collateral through sales presentations & product demonstrations to current and potential customers

· System process qualification and Installation for each product

· Ensure that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications

· Understanding photomask repair process and metrology verification.

· Assist service staff and/or provide direct service support to end user customers

· Provide direct assistance to manufacturing staff during build, test and debug

· Interface with all Engineering and Sales department to support customer requests

· Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs

· Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment

· Travel extensively to customer sites and trade show / conference venues

· Perform other duties as needed/requested

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approx. 50% as needed), including internationally.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Office and Class 1~100 Cleanroom protocols (hair net, smock, shoe covers, latex/nitrile gloves) in customer sites.


Qualifications:

· At least 3 years of work experience in an engineering or applications position OR one academic semester of internship or graduate work in an engineering or applications position.

· Experience and understanding of metrology, inspection and repair equipment in the photomask industry.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Demonstrated proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel and Microsoft Project software and SharePoint.

· Experience with use of vendor/3rd party software support packages for integration into electromechanical components. LabVIEW and Network familiarity a plus.

· Sub-assembly to System level experience in electronics, mechanical, and integration.

· Detail orientated and disciplined management and meeting skills.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $95,400 and $169,000/yr. You will have the ability progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
