What is an Amazon internship?

An Amazon internship is a temporary position offered to students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience working at Amazon. Interns work on real-world projects alongside full-time employees, often in areas such as software development, business, operations, or marketing. These internships typically last 12 to 16 weeks and provide opportunities for professional growth, networking, and potential full-time employment after graduation. Amazon interns also participate in mentorship programs, training sessions, and company events. The program is highly competitive and designed to give interns valuable insight into Amazon's innovative culture.

What kind of projects do interns typically work on during an Amazon internship, and how much responsibility can I expect to have?

At Amazon, interns are often assigned to real-world projects that directly impact the business, rather than just shadowing full-time employees. You can expect to take ownership of a specific project or feature, collaborate with experienced team members, and present your results to stakeholders. While you're given meaningful responsibilities, you'll also have access to mentorship and regular feedback to help you succeed. This hands-on experience is designed to mirror the work of full-time Amazon employees, giving you both valuable skills and insight into Amazon's fast-paced environment.
