Job description

HVAC Service Manager

Feel like you’ve outgrown where you’re at… but no one’s noticed?

You’ve been in HVAC for years. You know how to diagnose problems, handle tough customers, and get the job done right.

Maybe you’re already the person other technicians come to when they need help. You’re solving problems, training others, and taking on more responsibility—but you’re still treated like just another number.

You know you’re capable of more.

If that’s you, keep reading.

Who We Are

At Air-Tech HVAC, we’re not just another HVAC company.

We’re a second-generation, family-owned company serving the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities since 1988. We’ve built our reputation by doing things the right way, every time—and by investing in our people just as much as our customers.

We have a strong customer base, proven systems, effective marketing, reliable equipment, and a first-class training facility.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Service Manager ready to step up, take ownership, and help lead our service department into its next chapter.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing our service team while helping drive the growth and profitability of the department.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing our HVAC service technicians
  • Improving technician performance, productivity, and customer experience
  • Providing technical support and helping technicians solve difficult HVAC problems
  • Driving service department revenue through strong team performance and accountability
  • Monitoring KPIs, sales performance, and department goals
  • Coaching technicians on presenting honest repair and replacement options to customers
  • Helping improve call conversion, average ticket, and overall department profitability
  • Resolving customer concerns and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Identifying training opportunities and providing hands-on development
  • Ensuring technicians have the materials, equipment, and resources needed to succeed
  • Holding the team accountable to company standards, safety, and performance expectations
  • Working with leadership to develop strategies that support continued company growth

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who knows HVAC—but also knows how to lead people and drive results.

  • 5+ years of HVAC service experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • EPA Certified
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, local codes, and industry standards
  • Valid driver's license and good DMV record
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of HVAC service sales and the ability to coach technicians on presenting options
  • Experience with performance metrics, revenue goals, or department profitability

More importantly, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Is ready to take the next step in their career
  • Can lead without an ego
  • Holds people accountable while helping them grow
  • Takes ownership and leads by example
  • Understands that great customer service and strong financial performance go hand in hand
  • Wants to build a team, grow a department, and make an impact

Why Make the Move to Air-Tech?

Because sometimes you’ve outgrown your current position.

You have the experience. You have the knowledge. You know how to lead.

You just need a company that gives you the opportunity to do it.

At Air-Tech, you’ll get:

  • A team that wants to grow and improve
  • Leadership that invests in your development
  • A strong customer base and proven systems
  • First-class training and education
  • Reliable trucks and equipment
  • Effective multimedia marketing
  • Opportunities to grow professionally and financially
  • A company that recognizes hard work and rewards results

What We Offer
  • Quarterly performance bonuses
  • Full benefits, including health insurance and 401(k) with employer matching
  • Paid time off + 6 paid holidays
  • Your birthday as a paid day off
  • Steady, year-round work
  • Company-provided uniforms
  • Branded company truck and gas card
  • Company iPhone and iPad
  • Company team-building events
  • Long-term career growth opportunities
This Isn’t Just Another Management Job

This is an opportunity to build a high-performing service department.

You’ll develop your team, improve technician performance, create an exceptional customer experience, and help drive the revenue and profitability that allow our company—and our people—to continue growing.

We’re looking for a leader who understands that sales isn’t about pushing customers into something they don’t need. It’s about educating homeowners, building trust, and helping them make the right decision for their home.

This isn’t the place to coast.

It’s for someone ready to step up, take ownership, drive results, and help shape the future of a growing HVAC company.

Your experience deserves more. Your leadership deserves to be recognized. And your career deserves a place to grow.

Join Air-Tech HVAC and help us continue doing things the right way, every time.
