We're seeking a visionary AI Engineer to join our high-performing team. In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development, deployment, and ongoing optimization of cutting-edge AI and Generative AI solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence across the enterprise.

You are:

  • A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team to implement and operate new technologies that help Guardian Life advance its Automation & Artificial Intelligence objectives.
  • Driven by a desire to deliver outstanding customer service and a rock-solid stable automation platform, you will be successful through successful operation of our automation platforms.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, Information Systems or Information Technology
  • 7+ years of experience in working with AWS Services, Enterprise Architecture best practices, system engineering and security.
  • 7+ years of development experience or significant knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operation
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, AI Frameworks, AIOps
  • Familiarity with Containerization and Orchestration technologies, Sagemaker
  • Strong software troubleshooting, problem solving and system analysis skills
  • Willingness and capability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience working with remote teams in a matrixed environment
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence

You will:

  • Be part of a dispersed team both offshore and onshore for operation of process automation products & solutions
  • Implement engineering best practices to ensure scalability and uptime
  • Have an understanding of the Industry standard security best practices
  • Track and report on platforms performance and availability metrics
  • Be involved in all stages of the model development lifecycle from design to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and implement scalable and reliable systems to AI applications
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement technical designs and solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends, and continuously improve the platform to meet the changing needs of the company

Location:

  • New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania 3 day onsite hybrid
  • Up to 10% travel within US

Salary Range:

$118,980.00 - $195,465.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
