Job description

Looking for a company that values your skills, respects your contributions, and gives you the tools to thrive?

With more than 145 years as a family-owned business, we've built a reputation as one of the best mechanical and fire protection contractors in the country. We pride ourselves on delivering unmatched quality and innovation while providing you with job stability, opportunities for career progression, and support. We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Sprinkler Sales Project Manager located in Milwaukee, WI.

How you will contribute:

You will estimate new construction projects along with upgrades to existing customers' fire sprinkler systems and leverage your persuasion and relationship management skills by developing and growing a customer base. Apply your project management abilities by performing preliminary design and calculations for the bid estimates, preparing pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication, and seeking out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern's fire protection projects are competitively bid. You will also be responsible for preparing scope and quotation letters for customers, maintaining monthly estimate logs, meeting with management on a regular basis to discuss current estimating backlog and due dates, participating in turnover meetings as required, and assisting with any follow-up information with the customer as is requested, assuming an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with the designer and construction superintendent.

What you need to qualify:
Ahern will make the most out of your five-plus years of fire protection contracting experience. The ideal candidates with design, sales, project management or field experience will all be considered. You will stand out if you have prior experience in bidding work and a strong understanding of estimating. Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
