Position

As a Project Manager you will be a key leader for our Program Management team. You will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, production, and supply chain to coordinate activities concerned with assigned programs and ensure that the right people are working together to solve problems and deliver results on time. You will have ownership and accountability for the successful execution of assigned projects, including new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement, and sustainment programs.

Essential Functions: Essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.

Duties

  • Coordinates with programs, engineering, supply chain, and other key functions to ensure that project priorities and work are well understood and are actively managed to support commitments
  • Identifies the critical path for each project and escalates risks, constraints, and blockers related to equipment, people, material, facilities, etc. to ensure on-time delivery of project deliverables
  • Builds and maintains schedules, tools, analytics, and status reports to highlight project performance and support planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and project closure activities
  • Works with Program Management to plan and accurately capture and control project costs using Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Actively participates in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) to further promote visibility of project performance, constraints, risks, and impacts
  • Participates in the preparation of bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other program processes as required

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a high-attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate concisely; able to boil down and summarize key ideas and requests
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and effective working relationships with a project team
  • Working knowledge of composites, composite manufacturing, project management, build-to-print manufacturing, project scheduling, or the ability and willingness to learn these areas
  • Working knowledge of MS Project, SmartSheet, or other Project Management/Swimlane tools

Education & Experience

Bachelorโ€™s Degree (B.S., B.A.) Business, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Management, or similar from four-year college or university; or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

Very proficient with Microsoft office products, document control systems, and databases
