Job description

Behavioral Health Clinician | All Levels Welcome

Pay: $22.00 - $45.00 per hour (DOE)

Crow's Nest Ranch Outpatient | Truckee-Tahoe, CA DHCS License No. 290009AP

About Crow's Nest Ranch | Truckee, CA

Crow's Nest Ranch Outpatient is a DHCS-licensed, Joint Commission-accredited treatment center nestled in the heart of the Truckee-Tahoe mountains. We offer a distinctive, holistic approach to recovery that blends evidence-based clinical treatment with transformative experiences in one of the country's most breathtaking natural settings.

Our programs (PHP, IOP, and OP) incorporate a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including ACT, CBT, DBT, IFS Parts Work, and Neurofeedback, as well as yoga, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, personal training, and outdoor and adventure therapy. We serve a collection of individuals who are seeking a deeper, more integrated recovery experience.

At Crow's Nest Ranch, we believe that recovery is not just about sobriety. It is about building a life worth living.

The Opportunity - In-Person ONLY

We are seeking compassionate, motivated behavioral health professionals at all levels to join our growing clinical team. Whether you are a licensed clinician, an associate accruing supervised hours, a behavioral health technician, or a CADC at any certification level, we want to hear from you.

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to direct client care within a mission-driven organization that is redefining what treatment can look like. You will work alongside a skilled, supportive team in a small, close-knit program environment where your work has a real and lasting impact on the lives of individuals seeking recovery.

We are intentionally building a team that reflects a range of experience, credentials, and perspectives. If you are early in your career and looking for a place to grow, we provide supervision and professional development support. If you are an experienced clinician, we offer the autonomy, clinical variety, and meaningful caseload that make this work worth doing.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who hold any of the following:

  • Associate-level registration (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) actively accruing supervised hours toward full licensure
  • Licensure as a mental health professional in the State of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent)
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) with relevant direct care experience in a substance use or mental health setting
  • CADC I, CADC II, or CADC III certification in good standing
  • Graduate-level students in practicum or internship placements who are eligible to work under supervision in a clinical setting

Compensation is commensurate with experience, licensure status, and certification level. Candidates at higher credential levels, with bilingual capability, or with specialty experience can expect compensation that reflects those qualifications.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities will be scaled to your credential level, scope of practice, and applicable supervision requirements. Depending on your role, your work may include:

  • Providing direct client support through individual sessions, group facilitation, or behavioral health technician services
  • Facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions
  • Conducting client assessments and contributing to individualized treatment plan development
  • Documenting client progress in compliance with DHCS standards and organizational protocols
  • Collaborating with the clinical team, program directors, and clinical supervisor to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Supporting discharge planning and aftercare coordination
  • Contributing to a recovery culture that is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and holistically oriented

Associates and interns will receive clinical supervision in compliance with California BBS requirements. All staff operate within their defined scope of practice.

What We Are Looking For

Required (one or more of the following):

  • Active California licensure, associate registration, CADC certification (I, II, or III), or BHT certification with experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Genuine commitment to holistic, client-centered recovery
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to care

Preferred:

  • We are hiring up to three (3) qualified candidates for approximately 15-35 hours per week, with the potential for expanded hours as the program grows
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to facilitate groups and individual sessions in either language. This is a meaningful differentiator for our team and client community. Candidates who do not speak Spanish are still encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with adventure therapy, outdoor programming, or wellness-integrated treatment models
  • Familiarity with Neurofeedback, EMDR, or somatic approaches
  • Working knowledge of evidence-based practices including ACT, CBT, DBT, or IFS

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience, credential level, and scope of practice. We are committed to compensating our team fairly and transparently, and pay reflects the full value of what each team member brings.

We also offer:

  • Competitive benefits package after 90 days of employment
  • Clinical supervision for associates and interns pursuing licensure or certification hours
  • Continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Sponsorship support for initial CADC certification (for eligible candidates)
  • A collaborative, supportive team culture where your voice matters
  • The unique advantage of working in the Truckee-Tahoe region, with access to world-class outdoor recreation and a vibrant recovery community
  • A workplace where clinical excellence and personal wellbeing go hand in hand

Our Setting

Located in Truckee, California, Crow's Nest Ranch Outpatient operates at the intersection of clinical rigor and natural healing. Our clients have access to mountain trails, alpine lakes, and a robust local recovery community, all while receiving high-quality, individualized treatment.
