About the RoleThe Accounting Information Systems Specialist plays a critical role in leading, enhancing, and supporting the organization's SAP accounting systems and related reporting tools.
This role partners closely with the Accounting team, Systems Support, and cross functional stakeholders to improve processes, deliver efficient solutions, and maintain strong internal controls in a dynamic Aerospace and Defense environment.About You

Compensation:

Pay Range:

$107,677.00 - $148,054.75

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, coordinate, and directSAP relatedactivities, ensuring system updates are prioritized and executed efficiently.

  • Design, build, andmaintainautomated, oneclick reporting tools that replace manual processes across accounting workflows.

  • Identifyopportunities to improve process efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Define, plan, and manage projects from scope through completion, providing clear and consistent status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, develop, test, and implement system solutions that meet evolving business needs.

  • Supportmonth endclose by providing critical SAP maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency support.

  • Contribute to technical design ofend-to-endsystem solutions supporting accounting processes.

  • Support implementation and integration of ERP system enhancements across accounting and related functions.

  • Participate in special accounting projects, including issue research, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and implementation of improved accounting processes.

  • Own and manage key General Ledger control activities to ensure strongSOX compliantinternal controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor's degree inFinance, Accounting, or related field of study(relevant experience may be considered in lieu ofrequirededucation).

  • Advanced experience with SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel), PowerBI and/or Tableau.

  • Comprehensiveknowledge of GAAP.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

  • Government Accounting Experience.

  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR,andCAS.

  • Public accounting experience.
