This is a full-time, position based out of Champaign IL location. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. This position reports into our office in Champaign, IL location. Local candidates preferred. However, we may consider hybrid/remote work arrangements.

Typical pay for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually. The final offer for this position will be based on the unique experience and qualifications of the candidate selected. This position may also be eligible for a bonus not included in the base pay range.

Horizon Hobby is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented International Outbound Sales Representative to expand our global dealer and distributor network. In this role, you will proactively identify, develop, and grow business relationships with retail partners, distributors, and key accounts across international markets. You will serve as the primary commercial point of contact for your assigned territories, representing one of the most recognized brand portfolios in the hobby industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect and develop new international dealer and distributor relationships across assigned regions, including Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and other emerging markets. European markets are serviced by our European subsidiary.
  • Manage and grow an existing book of international accounts through regular outbound outreach — calls, video meetings, email campaigns, and in-person visits
  • Present and sell Horizon Hobby's full product portfolio, including RC vehicles, aircraft, boats, model trains, and electronics from brands such as ARRMA, Losi, Axial, E-Flite, Blade and Spektrum
  • Develop territory-specific sales plans aligned with regional demand, seasonal trends, and new product launch calendars
  • Collaborate with marketing, product management, and logistics teams to support international partners with training resources, promotional materials, and go-to-market strategies
  • Represent Horizon Hobby at international trade shows, hobby expos, and distributor events. Domestic and International travel required.
  • Track and report on pipeline activity, revenue performance, and market trends using CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export requirements, and company policies

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of B2B outbound sales experience, preferably in consumer products, sporting goods, toys, or a related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop, and close international accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language (German, Spanish, French, Mandarin, or Japanese preferred)
  • Comfort working across multiple time zones and engaging clients in different cultural business contexts
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and standard business productivity tools
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a high volume of outbound activity independently

  • Passion for or experience in the RC hobby, model train, or consumer electronics space
  • Experience working with international distributors or retail channel partners
  • Familiarity with export compliance, international logistics, or cross-border trade documentation
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, International Studies, or a related field
