Manufacturing and corporate offices are located in our state-of-the-art facilities in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with warehousing/offices in California, Italy, India, and Asia. Phifer exports all products worldwide. Phifer Incorporated is ISO registered and is an equal opportunity employer.
Phifer Incorporated currently has an opening based in our Tuscaloosa, AL office for an International Sales Representative (Latin America). The position of International Sales Representative is responsible for the sales and marketing of all Phifer products to current and potential customers within the Latin America Market. This role requires fluent written and spoken communication in Spanish. Travel is required 25% of the time in Latin America and possible travel outside of this region to meet company objectives and goals. This position does require 100% in person work at our corporate office located in Tuscaloosa, AL. Remote or hybrid work is not an option for this position. 

Required Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated with the drive and ability to work independently. They will be a high energy individual with strong interpersonal skills and ethical principles. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business or another closely related field is required.
  • Excellent Communications in English & Spanish  – Verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft 2016 Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in International Business/Sales within Latin America is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license and Passport required

Languages Required:

  • Fluency in English & Spanish (Verbal and Written)
  • Working knowledge of Portuguese preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.         Will have expert knowledge of Phifer’s capabilities and product portfolio.

2.         Will maintain pricing and terms of sales as directed for the assigned sales territory.

3.         Will perform sales activities according to export regulation compliance.

4.         Will provide prompt customer service to customer inquiries, including order entry,  quotations, sampling and product knowledge.

5.         Will provide “voice of the customer” for creation of new products, product improvements and complaints.

6.         Will respond to customer complaints, issue corrective actions and/or processing of billing corrections and credits.

7.         Will respond to email, website and phone inquiries.

8.         Will create monthly sales reports for the assigned sales territory.     

9.         Will be able to travel internationally to the assigned sales territory, including solo trips to 
            multiple countries for periods of up to two weeks, as required.           

10.       Will plan and attend international trade show and trade missions.

11.       Will host international customers and prospects for office visits and plant tours.

12.       Will monitor and report to management on competitor activities.

13.       Will provide customer and country information to Credit Management.

14.       Will monitor regional and country political and economic risks.

15.       Will translate and/or edit foreign language advertising and promotional media and web site development.
