Job description

Position Summary...Walmart is seeking a visionary and highly strategic Group Director, Product Management – Global Fraud, Identity & Account Protection to define and lead the future of trust, safety, and commerce across our global ecosystem. This leader will own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a portfolio spanning fraud prevention, account protection, identity management, and risk intelligence across Walmart, Sam's Club, Mexico, Central America, and future international markets.
This is the most senior people leadership role in Product Management below Vice President, responsible for governing a complex portfolio of products that protect customers, members, merchants, and the business from evolving fraud threats while enabling frictionless commerce at global scale.
The successful candidate will lead a growing organization of Product Managers and Product Leaders, establish a unified global strategy across a historically fragmented landscape of solutions, and build the next generation of fraud and identity capabilities that support emerging technologies, including AI-driven and agent-to-agent commerce. What you'll do...
Define the Global Fraud, Identity, and Account Protection Strategy
  • Own the long-term vision, strategy, and product portfolio for fraud prevention, account integrity, identity management, and trust platforms across Walmart's global markets.
  • Expand and evolve Walmart's existing U.S. fraud capabilities into a scalable global platform supporting Walmart International, Sam's Club, Mexico, Central America, and future markets.
  • Develop multi-year product strategies that balance customer experience, business growth, operational efficiency, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive executive alignment on strategic priorities, investment decisions, and portfolio outcomes.
  • Establish success metrics, business cases, and resource allocation frameworks for large-scale initiatives across the portfolio.
Build the Future of Trust and Commerce
  • Lead the development of modern fraud prevention capabilities addressing payments, transactions, cart, checkout, account creation, and financial services.
  • Define global strategies for account trust, identity verification, account takeover prevention, and customer authentication.
  • Build scalable solutions supporting emerging account models, including linked accounts, Walmart+ sharing, business purchasing permissions, delegated access, and enterprise workflows.
  • Create frameworks and capabilities to manage increasingly complex cross-border transactions and international risk patterns.
  • Anticipate future threats and opportunities by preparing Walmart's trust platform for AI-powered commerce and agent-to-agent transactions.
Govern a Complex Product Portfolio
  • Lead product portfolio governance across multiple interconnected product families.
  • Ensure roadmap alignment, platform interoperability, dependency management, and scalable architecture decisions.
  • Guide product discovery, experimentation, validation frameworks, and customer-centered innovation.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management from concept through MVP, rollout, adoption, and global scaling.
  • Evaluate technical and operational risks while balancing innovation with platform stability and compliance requirements.
Lead Through Data, AI, and Innovation
  • Champion data-driven decision making, experimentation, and insight-led prioritization across the organization.
  • Advance the adoption of AI-powered product development practices and responsible AI governance.
  • Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies, industry trends, and disruptive opportunities in fraud, identity, risk management, and digital trust.
  • Partner with engineering, data science, analytics, and business leaders to unlock new capabilities and accelerate product outcomes.
Build and Develop a World-Class Product Organization
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of Product Directors, Senior Managers, and Product Managers.
  • Coach and develop leaders in product strategy, execution excellence, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership.
  • Build organizational capability, succession readiness, and long-term talent pipelines.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and customer obsession.
  • Establish product management best practices, operating mechanisms, and standards that scale across the organization.
Influence Across the Enterprise
  • Build trusted partnerships across Engineering, Design, Analytics, Risk, Payments, Financial Services, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Business organizations.
  • Communicate complex strategies through compelling, data-driven narratives that influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Shape Walmart's competitive positioning through strategic partnerships, industry engagement, and market intelligence.
What You'll Bring…
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field and 12+ years of product management experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience building and scaling eCommerce fraud, payments risk, identity, account protection, or trust and safety platforms.
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional product organizations and managing leaders.
  • Proven success defining and executing multi-year product strategies for complex, platform-based products.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen with experience managing large-scale investments and portfolio decisions.
  • Deep expertise in fraud prevention, identity verification, account security, payments risk, and trust platforms.
  • Experience operating global products across multiple markets, regulatory environments, and customer segments.
  • Knowledge of account takeover prevention, authentication, digital identity, linked account management, and customer trust frameworks.
  • Experience building platforms that support cross-border commerce and international transactions.
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to fraud detection and risk management.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Leadership Expectations
  • Respect the Individual - Build high-performing, inclusive teams where associates feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. Invest in talent development through coaching, mentorship, feedback, and meaningful growth opportunities while fostering strong partnerships across the enterprise.
  • Act with Integrity - Model Walmart's values through ethical decision-making, transparency, accountability, and compliance. Create an environment where associates are comfortable raising concerns and where business outcomes are achieved in a manner consistent with our culture and values.
