Job Title:         Associate Director, Membership Growth and Development

Location:        Remote

Reporting to:  Director, Global Membership & Engagement

FLSA Status:   Exempt

Position Summary

WEConnect International is a global nonprofit that helps women-owned businesses succeed in local and global markets by connecting them with major corporations and institutions committed to inclusive sourcing.

Our members include multinational corporations, multilateral institutions, and government agencies - such as global companies, development banks, and public sector organizations - that collectively represent more than $4 trillion in annual purchasing power. Through their engagement with WEConnect International, these organizations expand opportunities for women entrepreneurs while strengthening global supply chains.

The Associate Director, Membership Growth and Development, is responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with an assigned portfolio of corporate members and institutional partners. This role serves as the day-to-day account manager for a defined list of accounts, ensuring members receive clear value from their membership, stay engaged in WEConnect International programs and events, and continue to invest in the organization's mission.

This is a relationship-driven, revenue-supporting role focused on account planning, member retention, renewal readiness, engagement tracking, and consistent follow-up with corporate procurement, supply chain, ESG, and inclusive sourcing leaders. The Associate Director will also identify opportunities to deepen account engagement, surface sponsorship or partnership opportunities, and support new member cultivation when appropriate.

The ideal candidate will bring strong account management, client service, and relationship-building skills, along with an understanding of how large organizations operate, particularly in procurement, supply chains, inclusive sourcing, and ESG initiatives. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple accounts, engaging corporate stakeholders, using CRM systems to track activity, and translating member priorities into meaningful WEConnect engagement.

Duties/Responsibilities

Manage Assigned Corporate Accounts

·       Serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of corporate, multilateral, and public sector members.

·       Build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with procurement, supply chain, ESG,  and inclusive sourcing contacts.

·       Develop account plans for assigned members, including key contacts, priorities, engagement opportunities, renewal status, and follow-up actions.

·       Schedule regular check-ins with members to understand priorities, address needs, and reinforce the value of WEConnect membership.

·       Maintain accurate account notes, contact records, meeting summaries, and next steps in the CRM.

Strengthen Member Engagement and Retention

·       Ensure assigned members understand and use the programs, insights, events, and connections available through membership.

·       Encourage member participation in WEConnect programs, regional activities, events, and sourcing opportunities.

·       Monitor member satisfaction and identify risks or gaps that may affect engagement, renewal, or retention.

·       Coordinate with internal teams to respond to member needs, connect members to relevant opportunities, and resolve issues.

·       Support the renewal process by preparing account updates, tracking member value, and escalating renewal risks early.

·       Lead Industry Groups, as assigned.

Support Membership Growth and Revenue

·       Identify opportunities to deepen engagement within assigned accounts, including sponsorships, collaborative initiatives, or expanded participation.

·       Support cultivation of prospective members through research, outreach, follow-up, and CRM tracking as needed.

·       Clearly communicate the business and social impact value of WEConnect membership to existing and prospective members.

·       Contribute to membership revenue goals through strong retention, account expansion, and timely member follow-up.

Represent WEConnect International

·       Represent WEConnect International in member meetings, webinars, conferences, trade fairs, and industry events as needed.

·       Deliver or support presentations to procurement, supplier diversity, supply chain, ESG, and leadership audiences.

·       Promote the business case for inclusive sourcing and the value of connecting women-owned businesses to corporate buyers.

·       Help strengthen WEConnect International's visibility within corporate procurement and inclusive sourcing communities.

Track Performance and Collaborate Across Teams

·       Track account activity, engagement levels, renewals, revenue status, and member feedback using CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.

·       Prepare account summaries, pipeline updates, and engagement reports for internal leadership.

·       Share insights from members to help improve programs, events, services, and communications.

·       Collaborate with business development, regional, programs, certification, marketing, and operations teams to deliver value to members.

·       Support internal processes that improve member onboarding, engagement, communications, and reporting.
