Opportunity Stanislaus is assisting Laird Manufacturing in recruiting a a AG Parts Customer Support Specialist.


Laird Manufacturing is seeking an AG Parts Customer Support Specialist to support our dealer network by providing exceptional customer service and technical parts support. This role is responsible for responding to parts and equipment inquiries, identifying customer needs, preparing accurate quotations, processing sales orders, and coordinating order fulfillment and shipment.

The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of agricultural equipment or parts, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule.

This position works closely with the Sales, Production, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping, and Accounting teams.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone, email, and other order inquiries from agricultural equipment dealers and authorized customers.
  • Use agricultural equipment and parts knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products or replacement parts, and communicate available options.
  • Read and interpret exploded diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Prepare accurate sales quotations, pricing information, proposals, and related order documentation.
  • Create, review, and process customer sales orders while verifying:
    • Part numbers
    • Quantities
    • Pricing
    • Shipping information
    • Special instructions
  • Follow up with dealers regarding:
    • Open quotations
    • Order status
    • Product availability
    • Lead times
    • Product substitutions
    • Delivery expectations
  • Communicate customer feedback, recurring parts requests, product concerns, and sales opportunities to management and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Inventory, and Shipping to confirm product availability, manufacturing status, and shipment schedules.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including:
    • Communicating with logistics providers
    • Preparing shipping documentation
    • Completing Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) documentation for international shipments
  • Prepare and maintain:
    • Bills of lading
    • Packing lists
    • Invoices
    • Other shipping and order records
  • Monitor customer orders through completion and proactively resolve delays, shortages, discrepancies, damaged shipments, returns, and other customer concerns.
  • Pick, prepare, package, palletize, securely fasten, and ship customer orders while ensuring shipments meet company and carrier requirements for domestic and international delivery.
  • Maintain accurate dealer, sales, quotation, inventory, shipment, and order records within company software systems.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with dealers by providing knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous service.
  • Assist with reporting and tracking quotations, orders, shipments, customer activity, and operational performance metrics.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality consistent with operational needs.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of customer, dealer, pricing, and company information.
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment.
  • Work occasional overtime or adjusted hours as business needs require.
  • Follow all company policies and safety requirements, including applicable California meal and rest period requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned consistent with the general nature and level of the position.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Prior experience with agricultural equipment, farm machinery, heavy equipment, equipment parts, dealership parts operations, parts sales, or a closely related field is required.
  • Experience in inside sales, parts sales, customer service, order processing, dealer support, logistics, or a related function preferred.
  • Experience working for an agricultural equipment dealership, equipment manufacturer, parts distributor, or farm-related business.
  • Experience preparing quotations and processing dealer or business-to-business orders from initial inquiry through shipment.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn CRM, ERP, inventory, order-entry, and shipping software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with freight coordination, bills of lading, packing lists, returns, and shipping claims.
  • Professional English communication skills required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but are not required unless designated by the Company based on business necessity.
