Inclusive Excellence Statement Advertised Job Summary The International Student Advisor position advises international students on topics related to immigration compliance and provides international programming that benefits the USC international community as well as the student population overall. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions) Preferred Qualifications Experience with the SEVIS federal database.

Strong communication skills (listening, speaking, writing) Problem-solving abilities to work with diverse faculty/staff clientele and diverse international student population of a predominantly non-native English-speaking population. Fluency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with a strong working knowledge of Excel. Familiarity with Banner, Ellucian Software, and SEVIS databases.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and database management software. Strong word processing skills Ability to coordinate and prioritize competing tasks Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with the general public and to work as a team member Ability to deal effectively with the public in handling inquiries and the ability to communicate effectively with a culturally diverse clientele Job Close Date 05/29/2026 Special Instructions to Applicant Positions are advertised for a minimum of five (5) business days on our job website.
