Job Summary

This position performs a variety of patient care and administrative duties to ensure the efficient operations of the clinic.

Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification required. Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration of Medical Assistant Interim Certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. If BLS certification is not current, classes will be offered at ICHS and certification will be required within 3 months of hire.

Experience – One year in a healthcare setting preferred. Experience with using electronic health record (EHR) preferred; bilingual English and Asian or Spanish language preferred.

Other Requirements - Active Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification from Washington State DOH required. Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration of Medical Assistant Interim Certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
