Their work aims to strengthen rule of law and improve public safety in conflict or post-conflict regions. These advisors often collaborate with international organizations like the United Nations or the European Union.

What does an international police advisor do?

As an international police advisor, you travel to other countries to provide guidance and develop training methods and procedures to improve law enforcement operations in their cities. You may perform your duties on a contract basis or work for a consulting firm or government agency that provides law enforcement training services to foreign police forces. As an international advisor, you assess the needs of the law enforcement agency and then create and implement a plan to improve performance in target areas.
