GENERAL PURPOSE:
The International Inbound Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing support for all International inbound transportation activities. Acts as a liaison between Ross, Customs Broker, Steamship lines, Freight Forwarders, Vendors and Ross departments as appropriate. Provides support to the International Planners with Ross Direct and POE shipments and administrative activities, as appropriate, for both inbound domestic and international functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide support to the inbound group in all areas of inbound transportation including entering, tendering, scheduling, tracking and tracing of International shipments. Investigate and resolve issues related to international movement of freight. Provide support to Inbound International Planners with Ross Direct and POE shipments. Provide superior level of customer service to vendors, buyers and DC's. Resolve any transportation related issues or problems to effect on-time delivery.
• Responsible for communications with regards to tracking, tracing, documentation issues and booking of international shipments. Interaction with Customs, freight forwarders, vendors and carriers.
• Responsible to execute the plan for cost savings, service improvement programs, ensuring customs compliance and provide information that supports on-time delivery of freight to Ross DCs.
• Assist with any projects requested or duties assigned by the International Supervisors or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 1-2 years of minimum experience in international transportation preferred
• 2-4 years of customer service experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of international documents, incoterms, customs regulations and tariffs
• Transportation background within the retail industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Strong self-motivation and the ability to work aggressively to complete projects
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels and departments both within and outside the company.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
