Job description

TRU-SPEC is seeking a motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to support our growing dealer network, government and commercial bid opportunities, and domestic and international sales operations.

This position serves as a key point of contact for dealers, distributors, customers, and internal teams. The Inside Sales Representative will help drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for building long-term customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Dealer Sales Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for authorized TRU-SPEC dealers and distributors.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to inquiries regarding products, pricing, inventory, order status, and dealer programs.
  • Build and maintain strong dealer relationships to support sales growth and customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities to expand dealer business through product recommendations, promotions, and new product introductions.
  • Guide prospective dealers through the application, qualification, and onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales opportunities in CRM and ERP systems.

Bid and Contract Support

  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on government and commercial bid opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather the information and documentation required for bid submissions.
  • Review bid requirements to ensure responses are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Track bid deadlines, submissions, awards, and contract activity.
  • Assist field sales representatives with contract-related activities.

International Sales Support

  • Provide sales and administrative support to international distributors and customers.
  • Coordinate product availability, pricing, shipping requirements, and export documentation.
  • Support export compliance and international sales procedures.
  • Assist with international dealer development and sales growth initiatives.

Customer Service

  • Resolve customer questions, service requests, and concerns professionally, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address customer needs and ensure a positive experience.
  • Represent the TRU-SPEC brand with professionalism and integrity.

Sales Administration

  • Prepare quotations and pricing proposals.
  • Assist with trade shows, dealer events, product launches, and sales meetings on a limited basis.
  • Support sales management with special projects and market research.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or a related sales role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Experience in the tactical, military, law enforcement, public safety, outdoor, uniform, or apparel industries.
  • Experience supporting government contracts and bid processes.
  • Knowledge of international sales and distribution procedures.
  • Experience with NetSuite, RepSpark, or similar ERP and CRM platforms.
