Hear directly from our teammates at AIT Worldwide Logistics and make us the next stop on your career journey.OverviewThe International Operations Lead while complete day-to-day responsibilities of quoting, routing freight, tracking shipments, troubleshooting and overcoming operational challenges. This role will also assist teammates on questions or challenges by providing guidance & expertise in addition to training new international personnel who join the team. The primary focus is providing a high-level of excellent and quality customer service to all customers and vendors as well as being the key contact person on the team for training, knowledge, and first contact for any escalation matters. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for complete shipment process in shipping system including quoting, data entry, pickup/delivery scheduling, CER entry, interfacing with customs brokers, routing and operational milestone updates
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships, problem solve and provide courteous etiquette via phone or e-mail interaction with customers, vendors, and AIT teammates throughout the organization
  • First point of any escalation matters. Assist in training and knowledge sharing with new and existing teammates. Work alongside management to provide insight to overall team workload
  • Ability to prioritize action items in order to determine critical timing for action items of shipment coordination to ensure successful transaction.
  • Obtain all details necessary for shipment and verify documentation is accurate, completed and retained in within shipping systems (ie. Cargowise, eDocs,etc.)
  • Identify and rectify if a shipment has deviated from schedule transit in an effort to correct shipment and achieve customer expectation and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate billing by ensuring all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • The wage range for this position is $36.60-$51.70 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or GED (Required) and Associate's Degree (Preferred) Experience 2+ years Working knowledge of Freight Forwarder International Operations including: Basic IATA/NVOCC, FAA, TSA, Export Regulations, AES and General CBP knowledge (Required) and 3+ years industry experience in export/import operations (Required) and 3+ years Cargowise experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Medium Proficient in CargoWise Medium Excellent verbal and written communication skills Medium High attention to detail and strong organizing skills Medium Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced working environment High Ability to problem solve to resolutions meeting the customers' needs HighWhat AIT Can Offer You

In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
