International Operations Specialist 


Position Title: International Operations Specialist

Department: Launch Global International

Reports to: International Operations Director

This position is: Full-time; Exempt; Support-raised 

Salary: $60,000 - 75,000 

Location: US-Based; Remote


Launch Global (LG) exists to mobilize churches to develop laborers and leaders who multiply healthy churches among unreached people groups. LG currently mobilizes the church in the U.S. and 23 countries. We currently have staff located in 3 different countries. Our hope is that as laborers and leaders are trained and sent well to unreached peoples, they will see a multiplying impact among the lost. With over 7,000 unreached people groups remaining, the missional task of the Church will require the involvement of the global body of Christ. 


The International Operations Department exists to serve and support the operational needs of international staff in order to accelerate their efforts to catalyze the sending of laborers from local churches around the globe to the unreached. 

The International Operations Team is overseen by the International Operations Director and is composed of both US-based International Operations staff and Field Office staff based in Thailand. The International Operations Department works to establish and maintain systems and structures, supporting the vision of Launch Global's international mobilization efforts. International Operations Specialists will also collaborate alongside LG’s U.S. operations and support teams to accomplish this goal. This role reports to the International Operations Director (IOD) and works closely with International Operations staff working from the Field Office in Thailand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibilities
    • Develop and maintain operational policies to support international teams.
    • Be a project planner for international initiatives.
    • Serve as a liaison between international teams and the U.S. Operations.
    • Collaborate with HR, Communications, and Staff Engagement departments.
    • Assist with Crisis Management in policy compliance and guideline implementation.
  • Policy Development and Management
    • Create, review, and update operational policies for international teams.
    • Ensure policies align with organizational mission and values.
    • Document procedures and maintain policy library.
    • Conduct regular policy audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement
    • Analyze existing workflows to identify efficiency opportunities.
    • Develop standardized processes for common operational tasks.
    • Train staff on new procedures and best practices.
    • Collect feedback and make continuous improvements.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration
    • Coordinate with HR on personnel policies affecting international staff.
    • Work with Communications to ensure clear distribution of policy updates.
    • Partner with Staff Engagement to implement supportive staff processes.
    • Meet regularly with department heads to address operational needs.
  • Crisis Management Support
    • Assist in developing emergency response protocols.
    • Help monitor compliance with safety and security guidelines.
    • Participate in crisis response training and simulations.
    • Document incidents and contribute to after-action reviews.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Attending and participating in weekly team meetings.
    • Periodic out of hours calls are required in order to meet with staff across various time zones.
    • Collaborating with other members of the International Operations team.
    • Communicating with LGI staff regarding projects and policies that pertain to them.
  • Spiritual and Professional Development
    • Creating a Personal Development Plan each year with assistance from your supervisor.
    • Actively learning best practices from similar operations teams of other mission organizations.
    • Regular check-ins and Day of Prayer and Evaluation debriefs with your supervisor.

Additional Job Requirements


  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Raise and maintain 105% of your monthly financial support goal.
  • Required domestic travel within the U.S. to collaborate with other departments in addition to some international travel to support international staff. Estimated travel requirements would be 2-3 times a year.
  • Participation in monthly Day of Prayer and Evaluation (DOPE).
  • Understand, affirm and adhere to Launch Global’s Statement of Faith.
