Job description


Our client is looking for a HR Generalist to support Human Resources activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with plant leadership and employees while providing hands-on support across employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance and general HR administration.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day HR support for hourly and salaried employees
  • Assist with employee relations, investigations and disciplinary matters
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding activities
  • Coordinate new employee orientation
  • Administer FMLA, leaves of absence and employee benefit inquiries
  • Maintain employee records and HR system information
  • Support workforce changes including transfers, layoffs and recalls
  • Assist with HR policies, procedures and employee handbook administration
  • Support EEO, affirmative action and other employment compliance requirements
  • Coordinate employee training and development activities
  • Prepare recurring HR reports and workforce information
  • Partner with plant managers and supervisors on employee and HR-related matters
  • Support employee engagement programs and plant events

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist or similar HR experience
  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees
  • Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with HRIS/timekeeping systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Manufacturing or plant HR experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels
