The Role
The Agency Lending Associate role is responsible for encouraging and supporting further growth of Fidelity's Agent Lending business with a focus on lending to Street-Side counterparties and improving revenue for our clients. This position will be focused specifically on the international equity asset class with the possibly of working non-standard hours. The primary focus of this position will be to support administrative needs across the trading book while learning the various client portfolios and program guidelines for future growth within the group.
  • Lending Global Equities to borrowers with a focus on maximizing the best total return combination of fee, utilization and duration
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with borrowers to optimize allocations and spreads
  • Liaising with middle office and back-office operations with respect to the execution and settlement of transactions
  • Partnering with the Security Finance Product Team to build systematic and automated tools based on the models you develop
  • Continually reviewing current processes/procedures and seeking creative alternatives to enhance efficiency and add new value
  • Identifying special opportunities to clients, explaining risks and rewards and running execution with the trading desk
  • Support your teammates via revenue and risk supporting efforts on a daily basis

This role has the potential to provide coverage for overnight and non-standard hours on an as-needed basis.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial markets, preferably with experience associated with EMEA/APAC equities
  • Experience with Securities Lending and operational workflows (trade lifecycle management, collateralization procedures, int'l equity settlements, etc.)
  • You are a great teammate with excellent interpersonal skills
  • You have an ambitious nature with an entrepreneurial disposition
  • Your ability to provide outstanding customer service and relationship management sets you apart
  • You share your strong understanding of the Equities trading market

The Team
The Agency Lending Trader will be an integral part of our client facing team. The team is part of the Securities Finance Division within Fidelity Capital Markets. Our mission is to provide our clients with outstanding client service and help with alpha generation by maximizing the value of the securities in their portfolios while minimizing operational and credit risk.
Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
The base salary range for this position is $70,000-100,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
