Job description

Location: Dallas or Houston, TX or Fairfield, OH
Travel: Approximately 20% international travel required to support operations in key business regions
Summary
Reporting directly to the Group President, the International Business Strategy and Planning Analyst ("IBA") is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys understanding how businesses work, solving complex problems, and helping leaders make better decisions.
This is a highly visible role that combines strategy development, business analysis, financial insight, and project execution. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders across the organization, helping to assess business performance, develop recommendations, and support strategic initiatives.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical, and commercially minded. You enjoy digging into data to understand what is really driving business results, asking thoughtful questions, and turning insights into practical recommendations. You're comfortable working in a changing environment and able to successfully balance multiple priorities in situations where the answers are not always clear. A successful IBA can balance detailed analysis with a broader business perspective.
The role also requires strong communication skills. Whether preparing executive presentations, supporting strategic planning exercises, or participating in leadership discussions, you can simplify complex information and present it clearly, in a way that is concise, and actionable.
For someone looking to accelerate their development, this position provides exceptional exposure to executive leadership, enterprise-wide challenges, and high-impact growth initiatives. It offers the opportunity to build a broad understanding of the business, develop leadership capabilities, and play a meaningful role in shaping Mattr's future direction and success.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, documentation, and execution of strategic plans, business plans, and decision-support materials aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Support governance and planning of modernization and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment across business units and teams.
  • Perform system modeling, analysis, and project-based engineering to enhance automation, optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly, annual, and Board-level management reporting packages.
  • Analyze and translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using reports, dashboards, charts, and models.
  • Track strategic initiative execution against KPIs, providing regular updates, risk identification, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish KPIs, market indicators, and performance scorecards; monitor and report on results.
  • Maintain competitor intelligence, including tracking annual sales, product developments, and significant market activities.
  • Monitor key markets and projects, reporting on major developments, commercial activity, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support market sizing activities (TAM, SAM, market share) across product portfolios using relevant research and data.
  • Provide monthly global revenue analysis by market for each business unit within the segment.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Business Development on M&A initiatives, including preparing executive-level presentations and analyses.
  • Support all stages of the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence and integration planning, ensuring effective portfolio integration.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess business decisions and their strategic and operational implications.
  • Contribute to strengthening and maturing business planning processes across Mattr's business segments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering combined with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of directly relevant experience in strategy, planning, analysis, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted business advisor, collaborating across functions to achieve organizational goals.
  • Strong capability to navigate ambiguity, simplify complex challenges, and implement structured processes.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process and system improvements with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, valuations, and developing profitable growth strategies.
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Advanced project management experience, including leading analytical projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Strong networking abilities and credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
