Direct Counsel is seeking an International Employment Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, cross-border employment matters and collaborate with attorneys across international offices.

About the Role
The associate will provide strategic employment counseling to clients ranging from emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 corporations. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting employment diligence and advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions

  • Drafting and negotiating employment, retention, and related agreements

  • Advising on reductions in force, terminations, and mobility issues

  • Counseling on restrictive covenants, employment policies, and global compliance matters

This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys complex, multinational work and a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from a nationally recognized law school

  • Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction of the applying office

  • Minimum of 3 years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international)

  • International experience strongly preferred for those with 5 or more years of experience

  • Prior experience with an Am Law 100 firm or comparable environment preferred

  • Strong analytical, writing, and client service skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Expected annual salary range: $235,000 โ€“ $435,000, depending on experience and qualifications
