Job description

Jon Ossoff for Senate is seeking a Data Tools Associate to join the digital team for the duration of the 2026 election cycle. This position requires relocation to the Atlanta, GA area and an in office work schedule.

The Role
    • Stakeholder data requests - Be the primary point of contact for digital data requests from teams across the campaign. 
    • Internal tooling - Build and maintain internal tools for pipeline monitoring and program management using Flask, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
    • Data validation - Write and maintain data quality checks to catch pipeline failures and anomalies before they impact reporting. Validate and write A/B test configurations and verify treatment and control integrity.
    • Enable self serve analytics - Identify patterns in recurring requests and build dashboards and tools that will allow teams to get the information they need independently
    • Document and data cleaning - Write and maintain internal and external documentation that promotes continued use of data products and data standards to ensure proper data capture and hygiene

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and 6 months of experience (Internships Count!), working with programming languages and software, like SQL, Python, and Google Sheets in a professional environment
  • Comfortable working with python scripts for automation and data processing
  • Experience with or strong interest in building lightweight web based interfaces (HTML/CSS/JS, Flask)

  • Experience with or willingness to learn Google Cloud Services like BigQuery and Cloudrun with an emphasis on database creation and maintenance, cloud security and elt/etl pipelines

  • Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting

Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as data staff on a campaign.
