Job description

Job Title: Senior Single-Event Manager
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus annual incentive bonus potential of up to $25,000 paid quarterly based on performance
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Work Schedule: Full-time | Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Fully onsite
Trustpoint.One is partnering with a growing legal team to identify a Senior Single-Event Manager for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Newark, New Jersey. This role sits within the Case Management department and will support all phases of single-event injury claims, from initial intake through settlement or trial. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong personal injury, medical malpractice, or insurance defense experience who enjoys managing cases from inception through resolution while serving as a key point of contact for claimants and outside parties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage single-event injury claims from intake through settlement and/or trial
  • Conduct interviews and follow-up conversations with claimants or their representatives involving single-event and catastrophic personal injury matters, nursing home abuse claims, and general personal injury cases
  • Handle investigations throughout the life of the case, including intake, pre-litigation, litigation, and settlement/trial preparation
  • Coordinate the collection and retrieval of claimant records and follow up as needed to keep matters moving
  • Review and annotate medical records in accordance with internal procedures and bookmarking protocols
  • Draft pleadings, interrogatories, and other litigation-related documents
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for claimants, insurance adjusters, defense counsel, court clerks, process servers, and other relevant parties
  • Provide regular updates to claimants and help ensure each case remains active and progressing
  • Interpret and communicate claim and case-related information to supervisors
  • Schedule claimant appointments, manage calendars, and maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes
  • Support process improvement efforts and help develop efficient workflows within the case management function
Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Significant experience working in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, or Insurance Defense
  • Experience handling matters from case inception through settlement and/or trial
  • Strong understanding of case flow, litigation processes, and claimant communication
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and apply them across similar matters and projects
  • Strong empathy, patience, listening skills, and claimant-facing communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established procedures and workflows
  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-up skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Comfortable with data entry, legal software, and e-filing platforms
  • Experience reviewing medical records and supporting litigation documentation strongly preferred
