Job DescriptionOverview

We are hiring a Project Controls Manager - EVMS (Earned Value Management System) to join our team in Atlanta, GA. A Project Controls Manager - EVMS (Earned Value Management System) plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the implementation and execution of EVMS Project Controls within an organization. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this role.

Your role
  • Develop EVMS process and procedures for Small/Mid/Large Projects Portfolio Support Project Controls implementations consistent with the company standards.

  • Assist company leaders in their strategic and operational duties including, but not limited to:

    • addressing and resolving tactical issues,

    • monitoring project and implementation performance,

    • enhancing coordination and communication among the team and stakeholders,

    • ensure compliance with internal and external governance requirements,

    • and facilitate the onboarding and integration of the full cost and schedule support team.

  • Design and implement EVMS principles in Power Generation, T&D Projects

  • Manage team of Project Controls Specialists to deploy EVMS standards in Project Management organization

  • Configure and maintain the EVMS, ensuring accurate data mapping and financial imports.

  • Ensure compliance with EVMS standards and guidelines.

  • Identify reporting needs, embed into standard and guidelines and coordinate periodic submission of EVMS required reports.

  • Responsible for multiple highly complex and sophisticated project controls functions related to Earned Value Management.

  • Responsible for routine interface with other groups in support of assigned functions and projects.Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with EVMS.

  • Responsible for closely working with project teams on support functions.

  • Proven ability to take the lead on challenging situations.

  • Requires minimal to no direction to accomplish assignments.

  • Can set benchmarks for themselves and others to meet team success.

  • Advance technical skillsets and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

About you
  • Accredited associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, business administration, or a related field. with 10+ 15+Years Relevant Experience.

  • Several years of experience in program management, cost control, or a related field, with a strong background in Project Controls.

  • Must have strong cost management, scheduling, and project planning and estimating skills,as well as the communication skills necessary to interface with external engineering,architectural and construction firms, suppliers, the management team, and otherorganizations within client organizations. Must be able to use A/E and CM cost and/orschedule information to evaluate project status. Must have experience in developingbudgets, cash flows, and/or schedules.

  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Working knowledge of industry standard software, including but not limited to SAP, Oracle, MS Excel, Power BI, etc. and ERP, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications.

  • Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Projects is preferred.

  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.

  • PMI, AACE membership/certification or RICS qualified is preferred, not required.
