Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Daily counts of various products at customer VMI locations
Complete Site specific VMI lists as required
Scan data from the VMI lists & upload to central data base
Ensure resulting PO matches with original upload
Picking/Checking regular & VMI Orders as required
Loading truck with daily out bound VMI orders
Drive to customer sites deliver & put away ordered products at respective VMI locations
Handling VMI related returns as per company guidelines
Warehouse Shipping/ Receiving related tasks
Pack orders, write labels, weigh cartons and prepare Loomis and other shipping forms
Reports damaged merchandise to supervisor
Assists in the annual inventory; may write up receiving or shipping reports; may file documentation
Housekeeping of Warehouse
Various other projects that may be assigned to them by their Supervisor
Overtime & Off-Hours work may be required from time to time
Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations
Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections
Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses
Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements
Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
College/University Diploma preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) considered an asset
Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, preferable in a Sales/Distribution environment
Ability to interact effectively with internal & external customers
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds
Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
Ongoing Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required.
