What Do Interns Do?

Is $30 an hour good for an internship?

For an internship, earning $30 an hour is considered above average in many industries, especially for roles that require specialized skills or advanced knowledge. Interns typically earn less, often minimum wage or slightly above, but paid internships at this rate can indicate a competitive position or a highly skilled role. Factors such as industry, location, and the intern's experience level influence whether this pay is considered good.

Internships typically require applicants to be enrolled in or recent graduates of relevant academic programs and may involve summer or year-round schedules. Interested candidates can apply through the company's careers website or internship portals.

What can I expect in terms of mentorship and feedback during an internship?

As an intern, you can typically expect to receive structured mentorship and regular feedback from your supervisor or designated mentor. Interns often participate in scheduled check-ins, receive guidance on projects, and are encouraged to ask questions to enhance their learning. Many organizations also provide formal performance reviews at the midpoint and end of the internship to help interns understand their strengths and areas for growth. This supportive environment is designed to foster professional development and facilitate a smooth transition into the workplace.
