Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a Midlevel Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer with experience in highfidelity mission and sensor modeling, digital engineering methods, and advanced simulation tools for our growing business in Dayton, Ohio. This position is onsite at WrightPatterson AFB.

HOW WILL THIS POSITION CONTRIBUTE?

  • Mission: Using systems engineering best practices, digital engineering approaches, and highfidelity Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A), design, develop, validate, and document mission and sensorlevel simulations that support advanced weapon systems and multidomain operational concepts.
  • How: Apply industrystandard simulation frameworks and modeling methodologies to assess system requirements, perform trade studies, develop mission/sensorlevel models, validate simulation outputs, integrate digital engineering workflows, and deliver datadriven insights for government and industry partners.

WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED?

  • Required:
    • Experience in one or more of the following:
      • Highfidelity missionlevel modeling and simulation (e.g., AFSIM, NGTS, JSE)
      • Systems modeling, performance assessment, and lifecycle analysis
      • Agile and Digital engineering workflows, including MBSE alignment and model validation
      • Probabilistic analysis, algorithm development, or simulationbased system evaluation
      • Familiarity with MBSE Tools (e.g. Cameo, Sparx Enterprise Architect, and/or Visual Paradigm.)
      • Familiarity with programming:
        • a systems language (such as C or C++), and/or
        • a highlevel language (such as Python, MATLAB), and
    • Ability to direct customer engagement and facilitate product or system requirements gathering and analysis
    • Ability to develop critical M&S inputs, including framework definition, requirements analysis, synthesis, systems analysis, and implementation
    • Willingness to learn from others.
    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Applicants must be US citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD security clearance.

Desired or Will Train:

    • At least 5 years of professional experience in MS&A, systems engineering, or mission analysis.
    • Expertise in AFSIMbased modeling, algorithm development, or advanced simulation toolchains.
    • Experience evaluating system performance through digital twins or MBSEintegrated simulation architectures
