Job description

Position Overview:

The Game Entertainment Intern is responsible for assisting the Wizards Entertainment teams in creating an exciting and entertaining fan experience at Washington Wizards home games. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining a high-quality game night show at all Wizards home games and events.
  • Provide administrative organization and day-to-day operations support.
  • Organize and maintain costume and prop closet for entertainment teams.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of all Wizards home games.
  • Assist with social media management including content gathering, organizing, and ideation.
  • Assist with the organization and execution of dance team rehearsals, appearances and events.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to all guests to improve the Wizards entertainment experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Great teammate; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; creative.
  • Ability to multi-task; detail driven.
  • Available to work 20-25 hours per week between September and May.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Previous dance team, game entertainment, or other related experience is recommended but not required.
  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience are a plus.
  • Social media and content creation experience are a plus.
  • General knowledge of professional sports entertainment and is enthusiastic about building an exciting atmosphere for fans.
  • Passion for dance and the arts is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and housing.
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour.
