Job description

Summer 2027 Information Technology Internship positions: SAP Technical, Infrastructure, Operations Technology, Technical Services, F&A Data Strategy & Reporting, Human Resource Technology and GIS.

Job Responsibilities:

General:

  • Performs other IT projects as assigned.

  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.

  • Supports company vision and mission.

  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.

Technical Services:

  • Development of new software applications; modify and enhance existing software and applications for clients within expected time, quality and completion metrics

  • Testing of software and ensuring that completed work correctly meets requirements, and is in accordance with agreed designs

SAP Technical:

  • Active participation in scoping and design exercises as part of the development, basis, and security teams

  • Work with Senior Development and Basis staff to ensure code is managed and controlled according to the source control strategy for the project in question.

Infrastructure:

  • Intern will be assigned a project under one of the following disciplines: Cybersecurity, Networking/Telecommunications, Enterprise Systems Administration, Operations Systems Administration, End-User Services

  • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operations systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority, and nature

GIS:

  • Ability to digitize, process, and manage GIS data using ESRI products

  • Produce quality maps and tabular outputs for projects and presentations

Operations Technology:

  • Data Integration: Collaborate with the data engineering team to acquire, cleanse, and integrate data from various sources into our data infrastructure

  • Data Analysis: Assist in conducting data analysis and generating actionable insights to support operational decision making

  • Data Visualization: Create interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and trends using tools like PowerBI, or similar

F&A Data Strategy & Reporting

  • Build data connections and supports report developers with data access according to security practices

  • Optimize analytics and reports by applying modern analytic tools and methods including DAX development and PowerBI M data processing

Human Resources Technology:

  • Assist with the design, development, and enhancement of HR and Corporate Services applications to improve business processes and user experience.

  • Gather requirements, perform testing, troubleshoot issues, and support application implementation efforts.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify automation opportunities, develop solutions, and maintain application documentation.

Qualifications:

General:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Outstanding organizational skills.

  • Required: Microsoft Office Suite

Application Development/SAP Technical/Operations Technology/GIS:

  • Preferred: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, .NET, #C, and familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)

  • Preferred: Esri products such as ArcMap & ArcGIS Online (GIS Only)

  • Preferred: SAP Data Services, TSQL (SAP Technical Only)

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related field.
