What is a sports engineering internship?

Sports Engineering Internships are temporary positions for students or recent graduates interested in applying engineering principles to the design, development, and improvement of sports equipment, facilities, or athlete performance. These internships provide hands-on experience working with professionals in areas such as biomechanics, materials science, product testing, and data analysis within the sports industry. Interns may assist with research, prototype development, testing procedures, and technical documentation. Such roles help participants gain valuable industry knowledge and practical skills that can lead to careers in sports engineering or related fields.

What types of projects can I expect to work on during a sports engineering internship?

As a Sports Engineering intern, you may participate in projects such as designing sports equipment prototypes, analyzing athlete performance data, or assisting with the integration of new technologies into training environments.
