Job description

Atlas Disposal Industries is a locally owned and operated waste management company with over 25 years of experience serving communities in California, Utah, and Arizona. Committed to environmental stewardship and community support, Atlas Disposal offers a stable and rewarding work environment for dedicated professionals. As a Roll Off CDL Driver, you will play a vital role in safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport large containers to disposal, recycling, and customer sites. This position is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, reliable, and enjoy working independently while contributing to a team that values service and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate roll-off trucks to transport open-top, roll-top, and compactor containers to designated locations, including disposal sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and customer properties.
  • Navigate high-traffic areas, driveways, alleyways, and tight spaces, performing skilled backing maneuvers as needed.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings using standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
  • Follow assigned routes for container delivery and pickup, ensuring containers are properly placed and locations are left clean and free of debris.
  • Utilize a computerized mobile tablet to track route progress, complete stops, and enter relevant notes and landfill information.
  • Report unsafe situations, service issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage promptly to Supervisor or Dispatch.
  • Attend required training sessions, briefings, and meetings as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Supervisors to improve route efficiency and support team operations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass regular drug screenings, pre-employment physical, and background checks.
Compensation

$26–$30 per hour, full-time, hourly position. Shifts typically run Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 a.m., with 10–11 hour days and a Saturday shift approximately every three weeks.
