Job description

The Asphalt Roller Operator plays a crucial role in road construction and maintenance projects by operating heavy asphalt rolling equipment to ensure smooth and durable pavement surfaces. Working primarily with a medium-sized crew of 4-6 operators, this position requires routine local travel and occasional out-of-town assignments. The operator reports directly to the Site Supervisor and is responsible for preparing sites, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety standards to deliver quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Operate asphalt roller equipment efficiently and safely
  • Prepare construction sites by assessing and adjusting surfaces
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any issues
  • Monitor safety compliance closely to prevent accidents
