Position Overview

The Trusted Support Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated and experienced Full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide essential mental health services and support to individuals facing complex challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting individual therapy sessions via video conferencing platforms, applying evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions to foster peer support and shared learning among clients, focusing on specific issues such as grief, anxiety, and trauma.
  • Engaging in family counseling sessions to support communication and healing within families affected by terminal illness or loss.
  • Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and physicians, to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address both physical and emotional health.
  • Providing crisis intervention services for clients experiencing urgent emotional distress, ensuring a prompt and supportive response to mitigate risks.
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Participating in regular staff meetings and case conferences to contribute to collective knowledge and enhance clinical practices across the organization.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a member of our team, you will primarily work with patients facing significant health challenges, including those in hospice care. Our clientele includes individuals and families navigating end-of-life issues, chronic illnesses, and mental health conditions related to grief and bereavement. Understanding the complexity of these situations requires a compassionate and systemic approach to care, emphasizing emotional support and resilience-building.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid Social Work license in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in mental health counseling, preferably in an outpatient or hospice care setting.
  • Proven expertise in implementing evidence-based therapies and a strong ability to adapt techniques based on individual client needs.
  • Proficient in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems for maintaining patient information and records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients and collaborating effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in a hospice or palliative care setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
