Key Responsibilities

Mental Health Counselors at Peer Support Behavioral Clinic are entrusted with several key responsibilities that directly impact client outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for individuals, adolescents, families, and groups to inform treatment planning.
• Prioritize patient and family assessments to tailor therapeutic interventions that meet their specific needs.
• Document interactions, assessments, and treatment plans with meticulous detail, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with departmental guidelines.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other proven approaches, to foster mental well-being through outpatient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while coordinating case management efforts with medical staff and community providers to facilitate holistic patient care.
• Implement and adjust therapy interventions as required, ensuring effectiveness and responsiveness to clients’ evolving needs.
• Regularly participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and case reviews to engage with peers and enhance therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Mental Health Counselors will serve a diverse client population, including individuals and families from various socio-economic backgrounds. You will work closely with clients struggling with a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral disorders. Our goal is to provide compassionate and personalized support tailored to each client's unique situation while promoting recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• State licensure is required as a PsyD, LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in relevant mental health fields is mandatory, with advanced degrees considered an asset.
• Availability to work between 10 to 40 hours per week to accommodate flexible scheduling for both you and your clients.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have at least two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling or related fields. Familiarity with diverse therapeutic modalities and experience working in outpatient settings will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
