Test And Evaluation Engineer Intern

Northrop Grumman is seeking Test and Evaluation Engineers to join the Aeronautic Systems Intern Program. This position will be located in one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA / Mojave, CA / El Segundo, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / San Diego, CA / Grand Sky, ND / Oklahoma City, OK.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Test and Evaluation Organization. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other developers.

As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of Test and Evaluation engineering specializations that may include:

  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2023.
  • Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2023.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Clearance and Program Access Required for Start as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Intern Pay Range

  • Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master's program): $19.50 to $30.50 per hour
  • Master's: $29.50 to $38.25 per hour

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

Salary Range: $19.50 - $38.25

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
