Many hospitals offer structured orientation programs and ongoing training to help you build confidence and competence in this role.

What is an intern postpartum RN?

An Intern Postpartum RN is a registered nurse who is in the early stages of their career or training and is working in the postpartum unit of a hospital or healthcare facility. Their primary role is to assist experienced nurses in caring for mothers and newborns after childbirth, learning essential skills such as monitoring vital signs, providing breastfeeding support, and educating families on postnatal care.
